We take over
Your tenant is introduced to their new manager and payments continue uninterrupted. You do nothing else.
What the change actually involves
The notice period on your current agreement is typically 30 days, though it can often be negotiated — it depends on where the agreement is up to, and on whether a tenant is moving on anyway.
Ending the existing agreement takes written notice from you as the owner, and that notice has to name Wemark Real Estate as the incoming managing agency.
- Contact your current agency — by phone and in writing, to introduce ourselves on your behalf and arrange the transfer of tenancy documentation on the agreed date.
- Contact your tenant — telling them about the change, introducing their new manager, and setting out how rent, maintenance and repairs are handled from here.
- Collect documents and keys — everything the outgoing agency is holding for the property.
- First inspection — carried out at the earliest opportunity, rather than relying on the previous agency's entry condition report, which is a common source of dispute at the end of a tenancy.

Questions landlords ask us
Can I switch property managers in the middle of a lease?
Yes. The lease and bond are attached to the property, not the agency, so nothing changes for your tenant — they don't re-sign anything. You sign one management authority, we give your current agent the required notice and collect the file, keys and records from there.
How do you find tenants so quickly?
Vacancy time depends on property condition, pricing, and marketing reach. At Wemark, we advertise on all major portals (realestate.com.au, Domain, and others), run a minimum of two open inspections per week, and launch new listings to our database of registered tenants. Our platform, wemark.com.au, receives 40,000+ visits per month, giving your property immediate local exposure.
